Evening Lads n Lasses
Sorry for the lateness of this weeks news round up, but it's been work, work, work this week. All i seem to do these days....except when i get on BACK of the NET, turn on my PS3 and get whupped at FIFA ;p
Anyways, the PS3 side of BOTN is booming at the moment, with 42 active members!! All of whom are enjoying the various leagues, tournaments and friendlies available within the BACK of the NET community. There has been a flurry of activity recently... With just over a week left BOTN's flagship league, La Liga is reaching is reaching its tense climax. The exciting new Formation leagues are now up and running (see below). AND on top of all this,AS IF there's any more room for FIFA related tom foolery, We've had the traditional bi-weekly Mini-Cup tournaments and the usual mass of rank-ups.
ALSO a quick, but very sincere mention to veteran PS3 member
lc56mu who has reached a year in the service of BACK of the NET. A great bloke who continues to be a very valued member of the BOTN community and a damn fine player. Nice one lc! if you see his virtual badass make sure you give him some love ;p

Everyone's favourite Thursday/Sunday night tournaments.
Thursday Night 22/04/10 - Fulham V Athletico Madrid
Winner: Crime-Slug
Opponent: devildamoUK
Summary
I make this (correct me if i'm wrong devil) devil's 3rd mini-cup final in the last 3 weeks?? The man is a mini-cup final making machine. One of these days he's gonna smash someone and get his 2nd Mini-Cup trophy ;p
So 4th placed Crime-Slug took on Mini-Cup specialist, 29th placed devildamoUK in a glamorous Euro tie at Craven Cottage. A tight game saw Crime-Slug eventually put away two goal to claim his 5th Mini-Cup trophey in his glorious BOTN career!
Better luck next time devil, you're due some! and congratulations to the mighty Slug, who says slugs are just homeless snails??? I say thet're FIFA GODS! yes GODS i tell you!!

"Pretty tight game, both teams wasting good chances, 0-0 at half time, Aguero scored quite soon after the break. Yet the tempo didn't change one bit and damo was still as dangerous as before. The lack of firepower at Fulham was evident and despite numerous attacks couldn't find an end result. With less than 10 minutes to go, on a counter attack, I lobbed a ball over the top from the half way line before Forlan ran on and hit a scissor half volley from 25 yards straight over the rushing Schwarzer. That goal killed the game, a game devildamoUK didn't necessarily deserve to lose."

Summary
Well as with devildamoUK, seany is quickly making a habit of appearing in mini-cup finals. A relative new comer to BOTN, yet this is his 2nd final (Having won his first).
Samoye91 himself is no stranger to mini-cup success either with 5 mini-cup tropheys to his name. Despite a big difference in Kudos points the game was very close, and Samoye speaks very highly of his ability (top praise indeed!). But Sam ran out the eventual winner, snatching his 6th mini-cup trophey from Seanys grasp late in the game.

"i started the game literally on fire from the first whistle i went on the attack with his keeper making a number of good saves and then carried on dominating in the first 20mins again his keeper saving them :(. Seany_2806 then came back into the game by keeping the ball away from me keep possossion well but i had the took the ball from him through ball to one of my players and goal and it was 1-0 to till HT. After the break Seany_2806came out by keeping more of the ball (good passer of the ball) then he got his goal to make it 1-1 he then looked like he was gna score but i blocked his shots and i then put a few passes together to pass to my player to make it 2-1 with 10mins which i saw out the game gg Seany_2806"... and breathe Sam.

BOTN’s PS3 Player’s Player of the Week
Guys i have to own up i have been slack this week :( I forgot to screen shot the rankings page last week. As a result i can't make a proper judgement on who to award this weeks title of Kudos king/Player of the week to.

PS3 La Liga - Week 12 & 13 Review
La Liga is in danger of running away without me!! As quickly as i can put up a summary, games are played leaving me weeks behind :( I'm going to cover weeks 12 & 13 as the fixtures are complete, with 14 & 15 to follow next week.
League Leader: Samoye91 is still in top spot, a massive 11 points clear of 2nd placed Crime-Slug
Weekly Golden Boot: Are you ready for this? ..SnOOp__82 put 15, yes one five, 15!! past dapofrost in their Week 12 fixture. Incredible!
Result of the Week: L_ha 3 - Crime-Slug 2, inspirational victory from the underdog.
This weeks fixtures - Week 14 & 15 of 19:
La Liga is starting to have an inevitable look about it. Samoye is striding away into the sunset, with Crime-Slug and Chris1936 trailing in his wake. With 20 league games to choose from it's difficult to pick out individual fixtures. However Chris1936 can go someway to closing the gap on Samoye by dishing out a double dishing of whup ass to Samoye in their top of the table clash this week.

Formation Leagues
A new concept in BACK of the NET land, every one uses the same team and uses the same formation. We picked 3-4-3 as it is a formation under used and one that will hopefully provide nice open games with plenty of attacking opportunity and goal scoring chances. There have been some big scores posted in the first week and i'm sure we'll see some more in the next few weeks.All the leagues are pretty tight, but that's to be expected so early into the leagues fixture list.

Result of the Week: Sn00p__82 0 v alltimered 5, New boy alltimered was a bit of an unkown quantity. But he's shown his hand early with a big victory of SnOOp.

Kudos Rankings – The Movers and Shakers
Underpinning everything that happens in BOTN land are our Kudos rankings, here’s a shakedown of this weeks big Kudos news…
Oops i forgot to record Kudos points and positions last week :( I'll do my best from memory...
The Big Boys – Positions 1-5
Samoye91 dropped briefly into triple figures this week :) in the time it took us to wonder if he'd lost it, he'd moved straight back into quadruple figures again. Where he finishes this week.
The only other change up in the stratosphere is the dearly departed MLD moving into 5th place! Shoving andrecorreia22 back down into 6th. Who's gonna replace MLD? andrecorreia22 maybe? or how about BOTN's yo yo (WBA) BIG D(ohara)?
Mid-Table – Positions 6 - 33
Here's where i struggle, they don't call it mid-table obscurity for nothing (they being the big boys of course, not me i'd kill to be mid-table!), i can't remember positions from last week sorry, so can't really comment :(
The Props (Propping up the rankings since time began) – Positions 32 and below
When i get on mastermind, my specialist subject will be BACK of the NET Props 2009-2010 ;p Nellybit's still rock bottom, affectionately titled the Rock of BOTN. Other than that there's not much to report on other than the fact that SnOOp__82 seems to be making a determind break for freedom from the shackles of the Props. Good luck fella :)
