Yesterday I posted that Fifa were doing a video while Konami were concentrating on "Other" things........
Well, i must say this....I have to take back what i said. If anything Konami must have read my news piece........
Im sure you can imagine where this is going.......
Last night a blogging site caught wind of a video that was going to be released at around midnight and the site to release it would be Jeux Vidéo Network...........

Calling all fans of Pro Evolution Soccer, it looks like they are rather numerous in the corner. We regret to inform you that this is not the night that you go to bed early. Blame a surprise stamped content PES 2010 which will be online this night on JVN, which will include revelations about … actually no,sorry, go to midnight for more information!

JVN posted the video, which unfortunately can only be viewed on their site.
Want to see it? Its got great in depth detail about how the new PES will work as compared to just a glip of the game like in Fifa.
If anyone manages to find another copy, please send me a PM and I will update the info on here to suit our news readers.
Update from Konami
It seems that the JVN post was a leaked Video
Konami have now released the same video but with Extras.....
PES2010 Card and Team Style Video
In one of Konami's slickest videos to date, fans are finally able to see gameplay (albeit only fleeting glimpses) of PES 2010 for themselves after reading so much about it in the past few months.
Opening up with footage from the studio tour, the video then mixes the descriptions of the Team Style sliders with gameplay footage of them in action. Konami also make a point of saying how they’ve worked on overhauling the AI elements of the game, with a much higher focus on team strategy, with segments highlighting the effects of how changing the slider bars work in-game.
When setting the Support Range up to 100, players will provide close support, while setting it to 0 means players will always spread out.
Dani Alves was used in text description of cards, and now we can see how it works as he runs down the right channel with the 'Overlapping Run' card turned on.
Apart from the gameplay footage, the Barcelona player stats are shown, as well as the new quick reference height and strong foot images. My favourite part of the video was at the end, with Messi receiving the ball on the edge of the area and heading on a darting run through the Liverpool defence.
After beating the first man, you see him almost lose control of the ball. However with a sweep of his left foot he brings the ball under control before firing a curling shot past the helpless Reina. Signs of how Konami are really putting in the hours to improve the animation for PES2010.
Another major impression I get from the video is just how much emphasis Konami are placing on individual game styles, and that everyone can experiment in fine tuning their systems using both the Cards and Team Style aspects of the game to create truly unique ways of playing.
Although the video is a bit thin on the ground with in-game footage, it really is just a mouth-watering taste of things to come in what will be released next week during and after Gamescom.
It's worth just pointing out that the video seems slightly faster in parts than it is in reality, which is most likely just down to the way it's been converted, so don't panic if you're sat there thinking it's much too fast. It also appears to be slightly out of date code, with the most up to date version being the one available at Gamescom (as well as PESFan offices, natch).
As well as all that, we’ll also be giving the answers to some of the interesting questions you’ve kindly been posting on the forum. And even if we don’t answer them all at once, smaller answers will continually be given as and when we find them out via our twitter and other methods. We’ll also have an in-depth preview of the entire game available from Monday, so it’s guaranteed to be an exciting couple of weeks for PES fans around the world.

i guess its just Konami with their gimmicks again, instead of just concentrating on making the actual game play the best they can. To me it just looks like they're bolting FIFA's proven custom tactics system in a more arcadish fashion on to a graphically better PES 2009. But obviously I hope I'm proven wrong!

with sandmania, these cards seem to be slightly confusing. i can see the benefit of the cards that make alves run forward more, but when it's something like incisive runs or doing the marseille roulette, surely they should be just as capable at doing that without the cards being applied to begin with (assuming they have the skill, i.e. messi)?

from tht clip it already looks like a massive improvement. BUT if online is still rubbish then they may well not have bothered
top work tho kaz

If these player cards need to be applied before a game or during pauses then i could see this becoming laborious. I understand how some of the cards would work for off the ball movement but as an example I don't see how the incisive run card would affect a player like Messi, surely without this card being applied he could still cut inside and run diagonally into the box just as effectively. I'm just slightly confused by that.
