Great PES2009 News!!.....Updated!

I'll keep this short and sweet. Three pieces of important information regarding PES2009 has emerged today. Do you want the good news or bad news first?

Bad news? ......okay.

Firstly, unfortunately it looks like some
clubs will only be partially licensed, and La Liga will only feature a
few top clubs fully licensed, while others may have fake kits and team
names.

Good news.......

Secondly, there will be a fully licensed Champions League mode
featuring the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester
United! WhoooP!

And finally, great news!........ PES 2009 demo hits the marketplace September 11th, same date as Fifa! Thats less than a week away, Roll on September 11th!

Big question is.......

Which will you play first?!?

EDIT: Demo Uncertainty....

PESFAN spoke to Konami this morning and were informed that it is more likely that the demo would be released around 3 weeks before release (17th October) and will feature clubs as well as national sides in a 5 minutes exhibition match.

Speaking to Konami this morning it seems not all the above information is entirely true.

A release date for the demo still hasn’t been confirmed but it is likely to be released onto Marketplace and PSN 3 weeks before the game hits the stores. Regarding the ‘build’ version, it will probably be the same as the Leipzig demo which received a negative reception on the forums despite players at the PES Rankings finale seemingly happy with it.

The demo should feature several licensed club and international teams, different to the teams on offer at Leipzig , which you can use in a 5 minute exhibition match with up to 4 players on the 360 and PC, with 7 players possible on the PS3.

Thats the point Ste, this years Fifa gameplay has meant to of hit the nail on the head and become more like PES's gameplay. Last year it was very unresponsive and it seems they have sorted that out now so it wont be as slow.

Only a few hours and we'll be able to have a look for ourselves :-D

The demo is a full match btw, not just 1 half.

Lewy lewy lewy.

Do players really runthat fast in real life cos on pro evo 2008 they were liable to havebeaten Usain Bolt to 5th place.

Everybody knows you need the speed between Fifa 08 and Pro evo 2008, and dont know if you played evo 6 on release but i was a complete pro maniac and evo 6 was laggy as shit till they patched it 4 MONTHS after release.

Fifa is to slow to gay and all in all for slow people real experience is PES if pro had the licenses Fifa wouldn't exist simple as ..... i know your gonna get a die hard Fifa fan coming back with the LAG shout but its only the last pro they messed up on. Unlike Fifa its never been good since the one were you could play indoor.

But licenses improve the experience is what im trying to say. ive been a pes fan since i first played it 4 odd years ago but i think Fifa will definitely have the upper hand this time.

Extract from a review by xeonblog: "I played the demo back in August and I have to say the guys at EA Sports seem to have a good thing going with their last three footy games and are pretty much on couse to beat PES 2009 and reclaim the footy crown.

FIFA fan or not get the demo and try it, all those PES fans who haven’t played the last few games are in for a bit of a shock."

The last sentence in particular is exactly what Ive been expecting since seeing the gameplay vids. Looks llike what PES2008 should of looked like if made properly. I think that this Fifa will be the game that bridges the gap for alot of PES only players.

I really wish pro could get all the official stuff to match fifa. If the game play and online is improved it'll beat fifa, but i can't help wishing for fully licensed teams and things like fifa updating teams according to transfers.
