Unfortunately the new site has taken MUCH longer than anticipated to finish. This is mostly because the care I have taken in making it worth while. I have tried to make it more user friendly, better looking and quite importantly... FASTER!! I've also tried to make it easier for new users to get around without feeling lost.

Whilst profiling the new site I discovered a few nice speed increases, here are a few I took [like for like, old for new]

These comparisons are the new site vs the current site in terms of page loading creation time [server side].

Profile pages: 45x faster [yeah daddy!]
News page: 7.5x
Message Center: 6x faster
Fixtures page: 3x faster
Rankings page: 3x faster
League pages: 2.5x faster
Home page: 2x faster
Tournament page: 2x faster

Every page in fact is about 2x faster, some more than others [profile for instance :) ]

So hopefully with the new design will come a much faster, fresh faced backofthenet for us all to enjoy.

I have also implemented a few extra features, you will now have the ability to write a personal comment for your profile, upload a picture, and specify your location / DOB. Once up I encourage you all to specify your location as it will be used for some nifty stuff later [whose best? north or south?]

There are also a shed load of other improvements, ill try keep you lot updated. For now relax as it may still be a while yet before its ready. Hopefully sooner than later!
