I have made a rather clever [even if i say so myself] update to the PM System.

You will now get live updates when you receive a pm. You will be shown a popup box saying you have a new pm and the link on the left will change accordingly....

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REFRESH YOUR BROWSER EITHER!!
